They turned down major-label interest to sign to Newcastle independent Kitchenware in late 2004. heir debut single "Bullets" released in Jan. 2005 sold out its limited run on the day of release and their single, "Munich," released in April 2005 reached the Top 30.
In July 2005, Editors released their first Top 20 single, "Blood," and in Sept 2005, the band re-released "Bullets". Their debut album "The Back Room" entered the charts at Number 13.
From a 1,000 copies limited-release single at the start of 2005 to having their beer "borrowed" by Paul McCartney and a platinum album, Editors have done it their way and triumphed.
Their latest CD is entitled "An End Has A Start".
