Los Campesinos! are an indie pop band formed in the UK in 2006. In August 2006, their rising popularity landed them a slot supporting Canadian supergroup Broken Social Scene.
In November 2006, the band were signed by Wichita Recordings, who put out their first single in February 2007. In April the band signed to Canadian label Arts & Crafts for Canadian and North American releases. In October 2007, the band went on their first full UK tour.
Their debut album, "Hold On Now, Youngster..." was released in the UK and as a digital download in February 2008, and the record was released in North America in April 2008. In August 2008, the band released their second record "We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed".
Los Campesinos' latest project is "Romance Is Boring." They stopped by The Current studios recently to play a few songs.
