Paper Tiger has great style - it's an irrefutable fact. And great style is a quality that one either has or does not. All the hustle in the world won't make up the difference for those that don't. For those that do, their work looks effortless and is pleasing to observe. Like a cool glass of lemonade on a hot summer's day; a simple yet elegant solution that satisfies in every way.

Paper Tiger's ability to do this makes him an essential member of the Doomtree family, though you may not know him on a first-name basis. For the last few years he's been behind the decks at the live shows, making beats for the crew's records and even handling the graphic design on all of the posters. In short, Paper Tiger makes great contributions behind the scenes in shaping the Doomtree aesthetic in every way setting the stage for the rappers to do their thing. For the most part he's never really taken center stage ... until now.

Paper Tiger's new album Made Like Us marks the second time that the producer has released something under his own name. Full of songs that will remind the listener more of the electronic meanderings of Lemon Jelly than the hip-hop beats that he's been known for in the past, Made Like Us features contributions from fellow Doomtree members Lazerbeak and Dessa, as well as Lookbook's Maggie Morrison, who joined him for this session on The Local Show. The release of the record will be celebrated Saturday, July 24 at Sauce in Uptown. Attendees will be able to hear the tracks from Made Like Us performed live, and then take a crack at Doomtree karaoke with the backing tracks spun by Paper Tiger himself.

Songs performed: "Palace" (feat. Lazerbeak, Dessa and Ashley Gold), "2nd Day Back" (feat. Lazerbeak), and "The Painter's Arm" (feat. Lazerbeak and Maggie Morrison).
