"Billy Bragg without politics is like Kiss without make-up. It's ugly." That's how English alterna-rocker Billy Bragg describes himself.

Known for being an activist over his more than thirty-year career, Bragg most recently instigated a protest against the government allowing the banks to pay large bonuses shortly after they were bailed out. While so much of his music is political, he believes truly great music is neither strictly political nor personal, but is actually both.

He stopped by The Current studio to perform: "A Lover Sings," "I Ain't Got No Home In This World Anymore" and "I Keep Faith."
