The Black Angels perform in The Current studio
The Black Angels came together in the spring of 2004 in Austin, Texas, taking their name from a Velvet Underground classic, "The Black Angel's Death Song."
In 2005, The Black Angels released their self-titled debut EP, and the band followed it up with their full-length, "Passover," in April 2007. The band's latest offering, titled "Phosphene Dream," was released earlier this fall.
They stopped by The Current to hang out with Bill Deville.
Songs performed: "Entrance Song," "Bad Vibrations" and "Haunting at 1300 McKinley."
