Live From The Current Studio
Martin Devaney performs in The Current studio
December 12, 2010
Nicknamed the Mayor of Saint Paul, Martin Devaney has been a staple of the Twin Cities music scene for years. He started with local hip-hop group Heiruspecs before returning to his roots as a jazz saxophonist with Roma di Luna. Mostly, Martin is an accomplished solo musician who plays folk/blues and alt-country.
His fifth and latest album, "The West End," includes collaborations with members of Son Volt and local stalwarts Molly Maher and Her Disbelievers. In addition to playing music, Martin also has his own local grassroots label, Eclectone Records.
Martin stopped by the Current's studios for a performance on The Local Show. Songs performed: "Don't Wait," "Underwood," and "Wiseblood."
