Cake was in town for a very special "Evening With Cake" a couple of weeks ago. John McCrae and Xan McCurdy took the time to drop by before the show for some chat and to play DJs.

We talked briefly about the band's longevity and their "set list free" style of performance. While they have taken some incredibly forward-thinking steps environmentally, like designing their studio to run without the use of power from the grid and creating the ever-expanding Cake forest, John downplayed these actions as only being human.

Imagine my surprise when I mentioned how unhappy I was when they broke-up a few years ago, the guys said "we never broke-up!"
