Listen Caroline Smith and the Good Night Sleeps perform live at the Minnesota State Fair
Sep 4, 2011
Local indie-folk darlings Caroline Smith and the Good Night Sleeps may have begun their career with frontwoman Smith's early solo shows at the 400 Bar, but by now they've graduating headlining the main room at First Avenue for a show later this month. The band has released one studio LP, 2008's Backyard Tent Set, as well as a live album recorded during a show at the Cedar Cultural Center (which sold out its entire pressing within six months). Now, the band has a sophomore studio full-length called Little Wing lined up for a September 20 release. The Current was thrilled to welcome Caroline Smith and the Good Night Sleeps to our State Fair stage for a performance on the Local Show with David Campbell.
Songs played: "Calliope," "Tank Top" and "Eagle's Nest."
