JD McPherson performs in The Current studio
The Current staff announced their favorite songs and albums of 2012 this week and it is no surprise to find JD McPherson's name on several of the lists.
After all, the rockabilly artist delighted us with two electric performances this year, first in our studio in July, and then again at the MPR booth during the Minnesota State Fair. The rerelease of his debut record, Signs and Signifiers, was our CD of the Week this summer.
While in town to play at First Avenue, JD McPherson stopped by The Current studio to chat with Mary Lucia and play a few songs.
Songs performed: "Firebug," "A Gentle Awakening" and "Ooh My Head."
