9:30 Coffee Break: Songs That Saved Your Life

March 07, 2013

When researching for Today in Music History we discovered that a poll came out today back in 2004 from BBC 6 about the songs that people turn to when they are miserable or "The Songs That Saved Your Life." Their poll turned up a list of great songs, but we want to know yours.

So, what songs do you listen to when you are miserable? Do you like to dwell in the misery or do you like to cheer yourself up? Give us your songs and we'll pick a few to play for the 9:30 Coffee Break.

Songs Played:

The Smith - "Please Please Please Let me Get What I Want"

The Verve - "Bittersweet Symphony"

Simon and Garfunkel - "Bridge Over Troubled Water"

The 5 Stairsteps - "Ohhhh Child"

Queen - "You're My Best Friend"
