Being the house band on 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon' has generated some amazing collaborations for The Roots, but this collaboration with Elvis Costello is the first to be put to record.

Two years ago, Costello appeared on Fallon's show and he and the band sensed an immediate musical chemistry.

"This is like our dream -- that's all I can say," a smiling Questlove said in an AP interview. "This is the first project at 'Fallon' where I'm making my musical dreams come true."

The album, entitled Wise Up Ghost will be availalble on Blue Note Records Sept. 17, 2013.

What do you think? Is the sum of this collaboration greater than its parts? Let us know in the comments.
