9:30 Coffee Break: Repeal of Prohibition

December 05, 2013

Repeal of Prohibition
What songs should we play for the 80th anniversary of the repeal of Prohibition?
Diffords Guide

Many Americans this week will toast the 80th anniversary of the repeal of Prohibition, a 14-year ban on the sale and production of alcoholic beverages that turned booze-smuggling thugs into celebrities and otherwise law-abiding citizens into criminals.

We'll celebrate the anniversary properly after we get off air, but for the Coffee Break how about songs for the repeal of Prohibition? What do you want to hear?

Don't forget to enter to win the Coffee Break on the Road? Thao Nguyen (of Thao and the Get Down Stay Down) will be our musical guest and we'll be grabbing treats and coffee from Gigi's Cafe. Want us to visit you? Just email and let us know why you deserve a Coffee Break: CoffeeBreak@TheCurrent.org
