tUnE-yArDs takes the top spot for the very first time this week after another very tight race. She joined our friends at KEXP last week for an in-studio performance of "Real Thing" off her new album Nikki Nack. She's also lined up to play the massive Glastonbury Festival in the UK on June 27 and the delightfully appropriate Down The Rabbit Hole Festival in the Netherlands on Aug. 28!

Submit your Chart Show ballot this week for a chance to see Trampled By Turtles, Doomtree, Low and Haley Bonar at Bayfront Park in Duluth on Saturday, June 28!

Big jump for Broken Bells this week who are playing some big festivals in the States: Bonnaroo this weekend and the sold out Lollapalooza in Chicago on Aug. 1 before landing here at the State Theater on Sunday, Aug. 3.

Sam Smith's new album, In the Lonely Hour, gets its proper US release next week, but you can stream it in full now on our website.

First Aid Kit's new album Stay Gold is out this week and they enjoyed a sold out show at the Varsity Theater last week. They just announced another tour including a stop at First Avenue on Thursday, Nov. 20. Watch the Swedish sisters perform "My Silver Lining" live in our studio.

Jack White's album is out this week, too — on CD of the Week. The Current's Music Director David Safar says in his review that it, "casts light on his beginnings with the White Stripes and the potential for whats to come in the years ahead."

Bob Mould is one of the new entries this week on the Chart, and we were lucky to have him in for a session last week when he was in town for Wits with comedian Jen Kirkman. Jill will broadcast that this Friday, June 13 on the Morning Show at 7:30 a.m.

Online Athens last week suggested, "If we are bothering to keep looking for voices of generations, let's hand the mantle over to Courtney Barnett." Here, here! She is back on our Chart with a more sly but not less witty song from her double EP, A Sea of Split Peas, and she'll be performing at the Varsity Theater on Tuesday, June 24 before heading to the UK for her debut at Glastonbury.

Local heroes Atmosphere are inducted to the Chart Show Hall of Fame for the fourth time, the first since this week back in 2011. They will be part of the enormous Summerfest in Milwaukee on June 27. Worth a road trip?

Jake Bugg is inducted into the Hall of Fame for the fourth time, too. He is shown a lot of love on England's talisman Wayne Rooney's list of songs to get him pumped for the World Cup that kicks off on Thursday. Check out the rest of the list and where you can join me to watch the first USA game.
