Massive response this week — more votes than any other week of the year! Trampled By Turtles fans hoping to win VIP Festival Palomino tickets helped the Duluthians stay at the top by a comfortable margin, and thereby get inducted to our Chart Show Hall of Fame, along with Spoon.

Submit your Chart Show ballot this week for a chance to win tickets to Spoon's show at the State Theatre on Friday, Sept. 19!

The Head and the Heart will also be at Canterbury Park next weekend with Trampled By Turtles, so they got a little help to become the highest new entry.

Another new entry is Robert Plant, on our Chart for the first time solo! Bill DeVille got a chance to speak to him last week about his new record, Lullaby And... The Ceaseless Roar, out this week. There's no Twin Cities show booked on his forthcoming tour, so The Current is giving you a chance to win a flyaway giveaway to see him play in Chicago on Oct. 2 — hotel and airfare on us!

Rayn Adams slips down a few spaces. His new self-titled album released this week and apparently "is not for the birds!?" He just premiered a new video featuring some of his friends, including Bob Mould, trying to make music insightful enough to kill a parakeet!?

Weezer fall a few places this week also, but have just unveiled the official first single from the Everything Will Be Alright in the End album that releases Sept. 30. Rivers Cuomo says that Weezer tried to make "a great rock album like the good old days!"

Doomtree dropped a few spaces, too, but this surely will not dampen spirits in their camp as they celebrate the return of P.O.S. this weekend, headlining the Effing Best Show Ever — it's the final big block party of the season!

After dropping off last week, two returns to the Chart help re-balance the genders represented. PHOX and Sylvan Esso have both recently stopped by our studios.

Hozier gets a big bump up this week as the new video for "Take Me to Church" creates more buzz, with a violent ending hammering home the point of the lyrics. Andrew Hozier-Byrne explains that the song "is about organizations and the damage they can do in undermining humanity" in a recent interview with Clash magazine.

Alt-J bounced back up this week, perhaps on the back of a fiery performance they did at New York City's (Le) Poisson Rouge last week for our friends at NPR.
