The Sporting Life with Star Tribune's Michael Rand: The End of the Vikings Season

December 29, 2014

Vikings lose to Detroit
Looking back at the Vikings season.

Every Monday at 8:30am StarTribune sports writer Michael Rand stops into the Morning Show to share the latest news in Sports.

1) The Vikings' season is over, and it ended with ... a win? Yes! Minnesota squeaked out a 13-9 win over the Bears to finish Mike Zimmer's first season as head coach with a 7-9 record. All things considered that's not too bad.

2) Citrus Bowl fever. Catch it? The Gophers are playing in a Jan. 1 bowl game for the first time since many of us were alive. They face Missouri at noon on New Years Day.

3) Let's check in on misery elsewhere, like Cleveland where LeBron James says the Cavaliers are not a good team right now. That includes our old pal Kevin Love.
