9:30 Coffee Break: Wes Anderson movie music
by Steve Seel
February 20, 2015
Wes Anderson's latest film, The Grand Budapest Hotel, has been nominated for nine Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best Original Score.
Music has always been a hallmark of Anderson's storytelling. From Rushmore to The Royal Tenenbaums to The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou to The Darjeeling Limited and others, Anderson frequently uses pop music from the 1960s, 70s and 80s on his film soundtracks, and one band or musician tends to dominate each one. What's more, Anderson's films have often brought renewed attention to the artists featured in his soundtracks.
So for today's 9:30 Coffee Break, we're wondering, what songs that have been featured in Wes Anderson films would you like to hear?

The Creation - "Making Time" - Rushmore
