MPR News Arts Reporter Marianne Combs joins Steve Seel and Jill Riley to talk about artistic happenings that involve a lot of physical movement.

Black Audience / Voice of Culture — Tonight at the Bedlam Lowertown Theatre are two lively performances for the end of Black History Month: Black Audience, a band from Minneapolis that performs folk, black heritage and chain-gang work songs will perform at 10:45 p.m.; prior to that, Voice of Culture, a west-African drum-and-dance-and-Griot group from the North Side of Minneapolis will perform at 9:45 p.m. Tickets to these back-to-back performances are $10, and the show promises a lot of movement and music.

Flying Foot Forum presents the Percussion Project — This show is an evening of physical percussive dance in which the dancers create rhythms as they are performing. Described as "a percussive whirlwind of flying feet, hands, pots, pans and basically anything they can get their hands on," this show looks to be entertaining, fast-paced and rhythmic. It's at the Cowles Center for Dance and the Performing Arts in Minneapolis this weekend, Feb. 27 and 28.

The Gentlemen's Pratfall Club — Presented by Comedy Suitcase, this production is about a struggling actor and a cruel French clown who battle for the most coveted role in children's television: Captain Clumsy. But what are the hidden costs? Levi Weinhagen and Joshua Scrimshaw are at the heart of this show, which stages at the Bryant-Lake Bowl Theater this weekend and next.
