This week is Member Appreciation Week at Minnesota Public Radio, and as part of that, we've been asking our members to send us their suggestions for the 9:30 Coffee Break.

We've received a lot of great ideas, and today, we're going with a suggestion sent in by Deb Baker of Grand Rapids, Minn. Deb writes, "I love the harmonica, and it's so versatile … from Bob Dylan, Neil Young, the Beatles. I can't think of many 'Current' bands/songs that feature the harmonica, but I'd love to find out!"

Thanks, Deb! And thank you for being a Member of Minnesota Public Radio.

Now, something really interesting about Deb's idea is that Sean remembers filling in on the Morning Show last summer when harmonica songs were explored on the Coffee Break. These were the songs played on that day:

Led Zeppelin - "When the Levee Breaks"
Joe Jackson - "Sunday Papers"
Stevie Wonder - "For Once in My Life"
Muddy Waters - "Got My Mojo Working"
The Clash - "Train in Vain"

So besides those five songs, for today's 9:30 Coffee Break, let's take up the challenge posed by Deb Clark of Grand Rapids: What songs featuring the harmonica would you like to hear? Send us your requests.

Songs Played

Outkast - "Rosa Parks"
Blitzen Trapper - "Furr"
The Beatles - "Love Me Do"
Weezer - "In the Garage"
The Yardbirds - "I'm a Man"
Belle and Sebastian - "Me and the Major"
