Charlie Roth lives in on a farm in central Minnesota and hauls his guitar around the region to perform in clubs, coffee houses and house concerts. But he also has a loyal following in the U.K.

Charlie's new album is called Oh My Stars, and it's filled with originals, co-writes and one cover tune. He had help from Nashville songwriter Buddy Mondlock on one tune, and he credits North Carolina performer Jonathan Byrd with help on the album's mix process.

Following his CD release on April 29 in St. Cloud, Minn., Oh My Stars will be released in the United Kingdom in June. Charlie will bring his guitar across the pond to perform there later in the summer.

Charlie Roth joined Radio Heartland's Mike Pengra via telephone to chat about the new record.
