According to Social Security card application data released by the government, the most popular baby names in Minnesota in 2014 were Henry for boys and Olivia for girls. Although Olivia continued as most popular girl's name in Minnesota from the previous year, Henry dethroned William as the king of Minnesota names for boys.

The top five male and female names of 2014 in Minnesota were:

1) Henry/Olivia
2) William/Emma
3) Liam/Evelyn
4) Owen/Ava
5) Benjamin/Charlotte
