What songs do you want to hear for today's coffee break?

Has there ever been a song you fell in love with because you thought it was about one thing and it turned out to be about something completely different? It's happened to all of us. Song meanings can often be ambiguous, but on those occasions when a songwriter opens up about a song's actual topic, it can catch us all off guard.

We're not talking about misheard lyrics; that's another thing entirely. Instead, we're talking about comprehending the lyrics clearly, but misinterpreting what the song is actually about.

So let's share those songs and stories. For today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs do you want to hear that sounded like they were about a particular subject but turned out to be about a completely different topic? Send us your requests and share how you misinterpreted the song.

Songs Played

Police - "Every Breath You Take"
Semisonic - "Closing Time"
The Beatles - "Blackbird"
Frankie Goes To Hollywood - "Relax"
Cure - "Just Like Heaven"
