Cube Critic Stephanie Curtis stops by The Current's Morning Show to talk to Jill Riley and Jade about the new Pixar movie, Inside Out, which is co-directed by Ronaldo Del Carmen and Bloomington, Minn., native Pete Docter.

The story centers on a girl named Riley who's 11 years old. She lives in a house by a lake in Minnesota, but her world turns upside-down when she moves with her family to San Francisco. It soon emerges that Riley is not the main character of Inside Out; instead, it's the emotions in her head, particularly Joy, voiced by Amy Poehler.

Inside Out is about learning how to balance one's emotions, as Joy learns to share responsidbility with Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Anger (Lewis Black), Fear (Bill Hader) and Disgust (Mindy Kaling).

"It sounds esoteric and kind of weird, but you get into the groove and get into it," Stephanie says. "In fact, it's really moving. … It is another perfect masterpiece from Pixar where it's for kids and adults."
