Cube Critic Stephanie Curtis stops by The Current's Morning Show to talk to Jill Riley and Sean McPherson about a new film based on the biography of Vera Brittain. Growing up as a privileged young woman, a teenage Brittain was determined to cut her own path in life when World War I broke out. She falls in love and soon her life is upended by the war.

"A lot of these costume dramas that are based on a beloved book can be so bloodless or there's no drama to them or they're a little serene," Stephanie says, but not so with Testament of Youth.

Stephanie praises the work of lead actress Alicia Vikander. "She's completely convincing," Stephanie says. "She is a great actress and I was engrossed by her performance."

Testament of Youth is rated PG-13 and is showing at the Landmark Edina Cinema in Minnepaolis. "It's worth seeing on a big screen because it's beautifully shot. It's a gorgeous film," Stephanie says. "It's fantastic, I can't say enough about it. I love the movie."
