Happy Canada Day! On July 1, 1867, the British North America Act came into effect, establishing Canada as a federal dominion and marking its birth as a nation.

Minnesota shares a 547-mile (880 km) border with Canada; more specifically, alongside the two neighboring provinces of Manitoba and Ontario. In many ways, Minnesotans and Canadians feel a special kinship with one another. At The Current, we often hear from Canadian listeners, and Canadian artists feature frequently in our playlist.

So for today's Coffee Break, let's celebrate Canada! What songs by Canadian artists do you want to hear? Send us your requests.
