With another day of temperatures in the 80s expected for Minneapolis-St. Paul, it may be easy to feel like summer will be here forever, yet today we've flipped the calendar over to a new month: September is here, and that means the seasons will be changing before too long.

This period of transition has inspired many songwriters through the years, and there are a lot of songs with "September" right in the title. Many more mention the month of September in the lyrics.

We want to mark the start of this new month with September songs. Help us build a September playlist; don't forget to think outside the title on this one. So for today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs do you want to hear that mention "September" in the title or lyrics? Send us your requests.

Songs Played

Big Star "September Gurls"
Earth, Wind and Fire "September"
The Happenings "See You in September"
The First Class "Beach Baby"
Barry White "September When I First Met You"
