CHVRCHES climb to the top this week on the back of a well-received Myth show over the weekend. They had time for a record signing at the Electric Fetus and stopped by The Current studio to perform and to chat about the making of their new album Every Open Eye with Mac Wilson, who asked why it might remind us of Jimmy Eat World?!

Submit your Chart Show ballot this week for a chance to win tickets to see the reunited Walt Mink perform at the Varsity Theater on Friday, Oct. 30!

Up four spots to No.12 is Ezra Furman who stopped by The Current to record an in-studio before his gig at the Turf Club last week. That session, also hosted by Mac, will air tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. CT.

Low are inducted to the Hall of Fame for the first time. They're on a European tour now:
Copenhagen tonight, Stockholm tomorrow. Last week in the U.K. they were in-studio with
Marc Riley of the BBC's 6Music.

Alabama Shakes are back with the highest new entry: "Future People" comes in at No.8 this week. They're headed to Europe for a tour soon, but if you play "Rock Band 4" you'll be able to jam with Brittany and the boys at home!

I wonder if Gary Clark Jr. plays "Rock Band"?! He really shreds on some of the tracks on his new album The Story of Sonny Boy Slim. The first single and new chart entry this week "The Healing" talks about how important music is to the Texan. He recently performed a "blistering solo" on stage in Austin with Foo Fighters.

Jack White of the Dead Weather, new at No.10, is known to have blazed a few solos in the past but in TDW he plays drums. He's made a video to teach you how to play along with him.

Courtney Barnett, who bounced back again after a week's hiatus, worked with Jack White on a new single called "Shivers" for Third Man Records' Blue Series. It was written by fellow Aussie Rowland S. Howard, who was most famous for being in the Birthday Party with Nick Cave.

Locals Bad Bad Hats make their debut this week, just in time to remind you that you can spend Halloween this year with them, Gremlins and Little Shop of Horrors for another installment of the always entertaining Films At The Fitz series.

Disclosure were in town last night at Roy Wilkins Auditorium without Lorde (we presume!). She helps them on "Magnets," their first entry on our chart. The brothers Howard and Guy Lawrence did a Theft of the Dial with Jade that will air next Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 12 p.m. CT. Appropriately, they have a scary new video for "Jaded" off the new album Caracal.
