Kurt Vile stays at the top for a total of four weeks and gets inducted to the Chart Show Hall of Fame to boot. Maybe it's good karma: Vile was recently announced as part of the fun for Cyndi Lauper's big annual holiday bash benefiting True Colors Fund to end homelessness among lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youth.

Submit your Chart Show ballot this week for a chance to win VIP tickets to Rhymesayers 20th Anniversary Concert at the Target Center on Friday, Dec. 4!

The Arcs crash into the No.2 spot. Sometimes it seems offering tickets to a band's show helps them climb up the chart, yet this is impressive. A special Black Friday edition of Record Store Day is around the corner and they're going to release a limited edition six-song 10" featuring Dr. John.

Beach House are inducted to the Hall of Fame for the second time (which reminds me of one of my favorite Theft of the Dials with Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally back in 2012), and Jason Isbell makes his debut in the Hall of Fame. I bet Bill DeVille will spin some of Jason's tunes at his big United States of Americana Birthday Celebration on Nov. 13 at the Fine Line Music Cafe!

The Thanksgiving holiday has always had a tradition of producing big local music shows. What better way to meet up with friends if you're in town! There appears to be a great local bill at First Avenue where a sold out show features the two bands at No.4 (Bad Bad hats) and No.5 (Hippo Campus) this week!

One of my favorite in-studios of the year happened last week when the Night Sweats came in – and they were even early! As usual Nate Ryan's photos captured some of the many soulful moments in the stripped down versions of the songs they performed.

The reigning Queen of Minneapolis hip hop, Lizzo, is brand new in the basement spot after only one week of play! She just announced her first headlining show at First Avenue on Feb. 6. The Current's pre-sale goes live tomorrow at 10 a.m. CT!
