Earlier this year Death Cab for Cutie released Kingsugi, their eighth studio album and first since 2011's Codes and Keys. Kintsugi—a nod to the Japanese technique of repairing broken ceramics with gold—reached No.1 on Billboard's Top Rock Albums and the lead single, "Black Sun," peaked at No.3 on the Alternative Songs chart.

In May, Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard stopped by The Current studio to record a stripped-down session of songs off the new album and "Passenger Seat," an old favorite from 2003's Transatlanticism.

Now, after a world-wide tour in support of the well-received Kintsugi, Ben Gibbard is returning to the Twin Cities on Friday, Dec. 4 to perform a private, acoustic, five-song set over the lunch hour at Icehouse for lucky listeners of The Current.

This is an exclusive event, and tickets are not available for purchase. The only way to get on the guest list is through The Current either on air (stay tuned!) or by entering for a chance to win using the form below. Good luck!
