MPR Cube Critic Euan Kerr joins Sean McPherson and Jim McGuinn to talk about "Deadpool", a superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name.

The eighth installment in the X-Men film series, "Deadpool" stars Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson, who, gains new abilities from an experiment and tries to find the man who almost ruined his life.

Euan Kerr is a huge comic book fan, but does not like superhero movies. "They're so formulaic," he says. "Something about superheroes pounding on each other gets repetitive."

But to Euan, "Deadpool" breaks the mold.

"'Deadpool' is the superhero movie I've been waiting for for ages," he says. "It is so much fun." They lift up the superhero formula, he says, and they shred it.

Euan said, however, that the film is very violent, and not for children, "unless there's something really wrong with them," he says. "You will end up in years of therapy coming out of this."

"This is a film that rollicks around", Euan says, and "it has the best title sequence that I've ever seen."
