Bon Iver holds on to the top spot for the fifth week in total! If Justin Vernon stays at No.1 for the next two weeks before being inducted to the Hall of Fame, he'll set the record for the year. Justin is busy with other projects too, like playing at the opening of his new Oxbow hotel in Eau Claire, WI.

Submit your Chart Show ballot this week for a chance to win tickets to the sold out United States of Americana Birthday Celebration featuring Margo Price at the Turf Club on Thursday, Oct. 27!

Putting pressure on that top spot this week with an amazing debut at No.2 are Amelia Meath and Nick Sanborn, the duo Sylvan Esso, who found success with their 2014 debut and are taking their time with a full length follow up, which will arrive early in 2017. Meanwhile they'll release a 12" single on Nov. 18 featuring this new single, which went straight on to my list of radio songs that I like to feature during member drives!

Radiohead are back at No.10 this week as rumors swirl about them being the headliners of Glastonbury 2017 (which sold out in 23 minutes last week without any acts being announced!). They just headlined Austin City Limits the last two weekends and Thom enjoyed celebrating his birthday on Friday by playing the hits and ... talking in a funny accent?!

Phantogram have now charted with two tracks from their new Three album which is out this week. It's The Current's Album of the Week, and as Jade explains, it was made under a cloud after a family bereavement.

Nick Cave's latest was also informed by the sudden death of one of his sons last year. If you want to go back through his long and storied career, this article that suggests five of his albums to check out is excellent and gives depth to how influential he's become.

Red Hot Chili Peppers are also new in the basement position. Tickets just went on sale for their Target Center show on Jan. 21. It will be interesting to see who they cover — Radiohead, or Black Flag — as they have recently in Europe ... or maybe Prince!?

A couple of other chart denizens are coming to town soon: Band of Horses at the State Theatre on Nov. 12 and Saint Motel this Thursday at the Varsity, a home coming for singer AJ Jackson of Excelsior, Minn.

Our friends at NPR were just visited by another hometown heroine Haley Bonar for a Tiny Desk Concert.
