Jack White's remake of a previously unreleased White Stripes song makes it to No.1! It's a week before he's inducted to our Hall of Fame, which will put him at No.2 on The Current's All-Time Hall of Fame chart. Jack will also be inducted into the Recording Academy Producers & Engineers Wing during GRAMMY week in February of next year.

Submit your Chart Show ballot this week for a chance to win tickets to Jim James at the State Theatre on Thursday, Dec. 1!

Local heroes Hippo Campus seem poised for a massive 2017 as they leap to No.2 after only two weeks! They have announced two shows at First Avenue in March which go on sale on this Friday, Nov. 4 at noon CT.

Brand new at No.7, Nathaniel Rateliff has had a helluva 2016, selling out shows across the States including The Current's Holiday Show at First Avenue on Dec. 6. Now they look to keep the wave rolling in the new year with an Australian tour.

The shy Conor Oberst is back in the spotlight with the first track from Ruminations in at No.18. After an illness forced him to quit touring with his punk band Desaparecidos, he recuperated in Omaha sitting at the piano. Just like he did last week on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The Flaming Lips return with a track released just before Halloween, a holiday they always celebrate with a big Okalahoma City party with lots of costumes; they ALWAYS play surrounded by costumes! You can re-live their performance at Rock the Garden this summer with this Wayne Coyne interview done by the Walker Art Center.

Warpaint is on at the all-important No.20 spot this week just as we celebrate their new release as The Current's Album of the Week.

Next week tune in at 7:30 p.m. CT every night for another edition of our semi-regular Local Music Exchange serie. We'll be playing a band from Minnesota every night and we'll be joined by Michael Elves, Program Director at UMFM in Winnipeg, who'll play us a song by a Manitoba-based band! And we all come together for two live shows featuring bands who won our online contest, ZULUZULUU and Sleeping Jesus, Thursday, Nov. 10 in First Avenue's 7th St. Entry and Saturday, Nov. 12 at Le Garage in Winnipeg.
