For Mary Lucia's DJ Pick of the Week, we bring you 'An Epic Story' from The Only Ones' frontman Peter Perrett. Perrett has returned with his first new release in more than 20 years with How The West Was Won, out on Domino Records.

Lucia had a chance to speak with Perrett about coming back after such a long stint away from music, as well as his deep appreciation for Bob Dylan, about reuniting The Only Ones, and how Minnesota's own Replacements helped The Only Ones feel truly welcome in America. Catch the full interview below.

On whose cover of "Another Girl, Another Planet" he enjoyed the most:

"Well you're a Minneapolis radio station, yeah? I have to say The Replacements. Peter Jesperson, their manager, was responsible for us playing two nights in Minneapolis in October '79 at the Longhorn and those two nights were so enjoyable because it felt like an oasis in the desert. You know we had a lot of success in New York and surrounding areas, but it was the first time we felt like we really, in the middle of America, had an audience."

Perrett's 'An Epic Story' is also The Current's Song of the Day for Monday, July 10. Find it here.
