Sylvan Esso are inducted for the second time to our Chart Hall of Fame, bowing out at the top. That makes four weeks in total at Number One putting them in second place for the year behind Portugal. The Man. They'll play Lollapalooza in Chicago next month before coming to First Ave for two sold out shows.

Spoon are the highest new entry this week at #8, with the third track from their latest to chart. Leader Britt Daniels recently broke down some of his fave releases ever for UNCUT magazine which included Prince's "1999", Little Richard's debut from 1957, and that Petrol Emotion's "Babble" from 1987, a band that included former members of The Undertones.

Chastity Brown returns at #9 this week as she returns from playing some big shows in Europe with Ani DeFranco. She'll start a short stint through the southern part of the States next week in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Benjamin Booker is back at #10, just ahead of his appearance at the sold out Rock The Garden. Get in the mood to see him play by checking out a guitar collection interview he did with us back in 2014, talking about his beloved Fender Stratocaster and Epiphone Riviera.

Fleet Foxes also return this week with a track from the brand new 'Crack Up' our Album of the Week. Bill DeVille calls it a good summer album, "It's calming, peaceful and pastoral, almost meditative."

Slowdive creep into the basement space of our chart with a track from their first album in 22 years! They wrap up the first leg of their American tour next week in L.A. But it has been so successful that they announced another string of dates in the fall starting in Seattle Oct 25th and visiting Madison on Nov 4th.

Submit your Chart Show ballot this week for a chance to win a pair of guest list passes to Rock the Garden at the Walker Art Center, July 22, 2017!
