We're scouring the globe -- from London to Mali, Syria to L.A. -- to bring you the best new music.

Starting off, North London with Wolf Alice. This is a band that's proving that Rock and Roll is alive and kicking and they've got this new song called "Don't Delete the Kisses" ...a little more introspective than their typical fare, but good nonetheless.

We are going to Mali for Songhoy Blues. Their music is a mix of punk and blues and has won over a notable fan in Iggy Pop, who contributes backing vocals on a few tracks.

We're also brining in music from an L.A. artist, originally from Syria, called Bedouine, who sounds a bit like a country music version of Laura Marling. She has a really deep, honeyed voice paired with a twangy slide guitar.

Closer to home, we have more new music from The Shins, we've got another song from Heartworms called "Half a Million."

And the comeback story of the year, Peter Perrett! He is the former lead singer of The Only Ones and he's back with a new album. Read more about Perrett and hear Mary Lucia's interview with him on this week's DJ Pick of the Week.
