You know when the person you're into texts you back -- and they want to hang out? That's the life Nick Jordan is living in "Crush," the second single off Dividends, his EP-to-come. The love song opens with a woozy bounce, but it soon falls into step with lightweight trap drums. Jordan's sweet-as-always vocals detail the lengths he'll go to for his crush: indulging in daydreams, scrubbing his to-do list clean, and using way too much data.

"Crush" is a nice companion for "Petty," the first single Jordan released from Dividends. They are distinct, but both juxtapose MIDI-heavy moonsidr_dlux beats with Jordan's bubbly verses; both drop into intense dance breaks. Both should be fun to watch Jordan perform.

Dividends comes out August 4, with a release show at the 7th St. Entry the same night.
