Spoon bounce back to the top this week for the 4th week in total and are inducted to the Chart Show Hall of Fame for the 5th time. They're playing two sold out shows at The Palace Theatre Friday and Saturday night. We'll be broadcasting live from the show Saturday when we'll air an in-studio with them talking to Jill and Brian. Sean will also be taking your requests as usual for Radio Free Current.

Chastity Brown is inducted for the second time and she'll be playing a couple of shows in Excelsior next week.

Now, Now are another local act new to our chart at #10. They opened our big show at The Grandstand this year, Music-on-a-Stick with Lucius and Phantogram and they're on a Fall tour starting at the interestingly named Pygmalion Music Festival in Champaign, IL.

Arcade Fire jump in as the highest new entry this week as they play Madison Square Garden meanwhile Win was having some fun with "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" this weekend talking about old arcade games!

LCD Soundsystem sit poised at #2 waiting for their chance at the top. They went to #1 on Billboard this week and they're our Album of the Week. Our Music Director David Safar says they've, "solidified their place as one of the most important bands of the century."

Beck will be fighting for the top spot next week too, buoyed by his second live show here in a month. Before supporting U2 last Friday at the new stadium he chatted with our own Brian Oake, explaining why it is so humbling for him to stand in the audience watching U2 after sharing their stage.

JD McPherson is one of the highest upward movers this week, to #7. We were lucky to get him at the MN State Fair playing live at our booth as he will not be back in the foreseeable future. The album drops on Oct 6th and the touring elsewhere throughout the fall, Chicago on Nov 16th.

Josh Ritter is new at #20 and he'll be our next Micro Show guest at The Clown Lounge Saturday Sept 23rd. The only way to get in is to win, which you can do by listening... OR register for a chance of winning by next Monday.

Submit your Chart Show ballot this week for a chance to win a pair of passes to Spoon at the Palace Theatre!
