In 'Green Room Stories,' The Current interviews artists in the green rooms of beloved local venues. Here, Triple Rock regular Craig Finn shares his memories of the venue and its owners, Erik and Gretchen Funk, just before playing his last show there on Oct. 20, 2017.

Craig Finn has participated in the Triple Rock's story since the very beginning, having patronized the bar side with friends and reunited with Lifter Puller to baptize the venue in 2003. "This place is ours," he remembers thinking years ago, gratefulness and wonder still plain on his face.

"I did not expect to be playing my final Triple Rock show when we booked this show," Finn shares. But "the good news" is that "those people will do something else. They'll still be around the Twin Cities." And fans and friends will always have the memories.
