Yellow-Bellied Sapsuckers perform at Radio Heartland

Nikki Grossman and Joe Hart are known as the Yellow-Bellied Sapsuckers. The duo have been traveling the Midwest for years now, spreading the gospel of original, old-time, country-ish sounding music, leaving audiences smiling.
When Nikki and Joe talked about who they wanted to produce their next record, they decided to aim high; they took a big chance in asking legendary music producer John Wood (Nick Drake, Sandy Denny, Cat Stevens, Fairport Convention) to produce it. Wood said, "Yes — but how do we do this? I live in Scotland." Determined as they were, Nikki and Joe found a way to make it happen.
The resulting album, Don't Think About Tomorrow Tonight, came out in the spring of 2018. The Yellow-Bellied Sapsuckers stopped in to the Radio Heartland studio to play songs from the album and to talk about working with a legend.
