This week, Mary Lucia and Derrick Stevens talk about Quincy, a Netflix original documentary that looks at the life of music icon Quincy Jones.

Beyond his own acclaim as a trumpeter, producer, conductor, composer and arranger, Quincy Jones's ability to discover the biggest talents of the past 50 years is unprecedented. Jones has mentored and cultivated the careers of young talents, from Lesley Gore and Michael Jackson to Oprah Winfrey and Will Smith. Outside the entertainment field, Jones has awakened many generations to the significance of humanitarian issues.

The documentary is co-directed by Jones's daughter, Rashida Jones, and Alan Hicks.

"I absolutely loved it," Mary says. "I can't recommend it enough."
