CHVRCHES return to the top spot for the 4th week in total which will put them safely inside the Top 5 of the year. They've been playing some big shows recently like Austin City Limits Festival. You can watch their entire set, as they raged in the scorching sun, curtesy of Rolling Stone.

We'll be streaming another show live this coming Friday when Low, new at #6, play perhaps the last show at The Fitzgerald Theater, while we still operate the storied venue that has been part of our family since the 80's. Their new album is also our Album of the Week, written by a man who tried to exert some kind of Fagin role over the band!

Last week's Album of the Week, Elvis Costello's just released Look Now spawns another new entry at 19. He talks about his recent cancer scare and voting for an orange haired clown and Brexit to Billboard.

Sharon Van Etten is also new in the basement this week with "Comeback Kid" and she has just released a video for the song, "... about the struggles of self, forgiveness, and living in the now."

Just back from her European tour Chastity Brown, at #14, is playing a great line up for a great cause at The Cedar Cultural Center November 15 with Brother Ali, I Self Devine, and The Lioness.

I will not be hosting the show next week as we travel to Reykjavik for the Iceland Airwaves festival! We'll be broadcasting from there next Friday 6-10pm and Saturday 3-7pm. Here's some of my fave clips from
Akureyri last year.
