The Small Glories - Sing (Live at Radio Heartland)

See? I told you so! I've been raving about The Small Glories for a while now and finally got to meet them and hear them sing live this week. The Small Glories are Cara Luft and JD Edwards of Winnipeg, and they sing like birds. Their latest record, Assiniboine & The Red, came out on June 28. The name comes from the two major rivers that meet in Winnipeg to form one — which is a story akin to theirs. In this interview, Luft and Edwards talk about how they met and first started singing together, and they also talked about collaborating with a "who's who" of Canadian songwriters on this new record.

The Small Glories have been in town for a few days for the Arts Midwest Conference, and they have a public gig Friday night at The Landmark Center in St. Paul. We got them to stop into the studio to chat and to sing.
