Twin Cities singer-songwriter Jack Klatt began his music career hitch-hiking around the United States with his guitar and a backpack, trying to see the world and make a living as a musician. Klatt's ambition finally blossomed in the past few years as he was signed to a record label (Yep Roc Records) and self-produced his new record, It Ain't The Same, at Reliable Records in Chicago.

Klatt knew exactly what he wanted in the production of this record, and he got it from his musicians. He also says this process helped him grow as a musician.

Jack Klatt brought his band into the Radio Heartland studio to play some of those tracks and talk about the production of the new record in advance of the album-release show this Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Turf Club in St. Paul, Minn.
