Poised to be inducted next week for the second time this year, Sleater-Kinney go top with the title track from their album The Center Won't Hold. They brilliantly lit up The Palace two weeks ago in a show we videoed.

Back as the highest new entry this week is Billie Eilish. To put these notes together every week I have to... search the internet, but Billie is dangerous when it comes to that, according to a new internet poll.

We've had some killer in studio sessions over the past few weeks, check out Big Thief and Aldous Harding, and Jill Riley got to have a cool chat with #9 Frank Turner last week when he was in town to play at The Pantages.

Second highest new entry at eleven is Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes fame, another artist who allowed us to share their Palace Theater performance with you all.

After breaking her back falling from a roof last winter Channy is back this hiver with Polica, at #12 with the first track released from their new album. They've already sold out two small warm up shows in The Entry in November and will apparently be part of 'Hiver' in Eau Claires, where Justin Vernon will do a conversation with Ani DiFranco!

The hottest local artists of the year were unveiled by our friends at City Pages last week and Velvet Negroni, at 14, was placed third behind Green/Blue and Nur-D!

Another local artist has recovered from broken bones, Charlie Parr had a skate-boarding accident that literally threatened his career. No wonder he sounds so rejuvenated on the 'Jubilee' track that's in at seventeen! He's finishing the first part of his national tour this Friday in Madison and Saturday in Appleton WI. Then there's two big shows booked at The Cedar Cultural Center November 21 and 22.

The self proclaimed 'best American band' Louisville's own White Reaper are in our basement for the first time this week. They've just released You Deserve Love their new album on the newly reformed Elektra Record label.

Submit your Chart Show ballot this week for a chance to win tickets to Low Cut Connie at First Avenue in Minneapolis, MN on November 7, 2019.
