The nineteenth different artist to reach Number One this year is an old friend, Beck. His new 'Hyperspace" is our Album of the Week and Jill had a delightful chat with him about it.

The Grammy nominations last week brought home the point of how big a year it has been for our #2, Billie Eilish, the youngest artist to receive so many. She also performed Monday at The American Music Awards.

Biggest upward mover is Michael Kiwanuka to three. His album got on the end of year list from BBC 6, their internet station, along with The Comet Is Coming, Sleaford Mods and...The Specials?!

They played two sold out shows in The Entry this week and it'll be spring before you can see #6 Polica again. Starting the tour behind their new album in UK in February they have The Mainroom booked for April 10th.

Another big local name is back brand new at eight and Brother Ali will celebrate the season with a short Midwest tour, with Evidence and Nur-D at The Mainroom gig.

Bouncing back on to the chart after a weeks hiatus are evergreen punks Green Day, celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Dookie this year including this week at the AMA's.

Back in at seventeen are Of Monsters and Men, one of the many bands that our intrepid team saw at the Iceland Airwaves Festival this year.

Slipping six places to #18 Brittany Howard was back on the telly Monday in a flowing pink kimono with Jimmy Kimmel.

After releasing two albums this year looks like Foals will concentrate on touring the world for much of 2020, including a massive festival just announced in Manchester, UK.

Submit your Chart Show ballot this week for a chance to win tickets to JD McPherson's SOCKS: A Rock n' Roll Christmas Tour at the First Avenue in Minneapolis, MN on December 20, 2019.
