This week's schedule
The big highlight this week comes as the week draws to a close, when, starting Saturday, the PBS series Austin City Limits celebrates its newest class of Hall of Fame inductees: blues great Buddy Guy, and acclaimed singer-songwriters Shawn Colvin and Lyle Lovett, with a special broadcast featuring performances and collaborations from the Austin City Limits 6th Annual Hall of Fame Honors. Guest performers include Jackson Browne, Sarah Jarosz, Jimmie Vaughan, Shemekia Copeland, Christone "Kingfish" Ingram, Willis Alan Ramsey, Edie Brickell and Sean Penn. The emcee for the program is Robert Earl Keen.
Otherwise, with the holidays in full swing, most shows are on hiatus. Look for encore broadcasts of performances by Gary Clark Jr., Bloc Party, The Black Keys and CHVRCHES and a bunch of various reruns featuring Kacey Musgraves. Also this week, NBC rebroadcasts a couple of semi-autobiographical music-related specials from Dolly Parton.
