Just as we're heading into the season when we'll hear the Pogues' classic song, "Fairytale of New York," a new documentary about the Pogues' Shane MacGowan has released.

The film, Crock of Gold: A few rounds with Shane MacGowan, describes itself as "the definitive feature documentary on Irish musical icon, Shane MacGowan, exploring the wild and roving life of Ireland's most beloved punk poet."

"It's heartbreaking," Mary Lucia says. "Be prepared to watch this. It is a beautiful film. It is an intense film." Watch Mary's review in the video player above.

Crock of Gold: A few rounds with Shane MacGowan is directed by Julien Temple and is co-produced by Johnny Depp. The film is out Thursday and is available for streaming on iTunes, Amazon Video, Redbox, Google Play, Vudu, YouTube and other platforms.
