Ireland, whiskey, and Hozier are each pretty popular in their own right, so it's not too surprising that when you put the three together, the result blows up on TikTok.

When Hozier visited The Current in June 2019, he performed songs from his recently-released album Wasteland, Baby! — host Jill Riley asked him, "Since you're from Ireland, can you give us a toast before you leave?"

Laughing at being asked to deliver a toast (a) on a morning radio show and (b) without alcohol, Hozier gamely launched into a traditional Irish song, "The Humours of Whiskey." In recent weeks, a cropped clip of that performance has found its way to TikTok, where it's proven popular — conveniently for the 60-second video platform, Hozier's a capella performance runs just 51 seconds.

Watch the full, uncropped video below, and listen to the complete session here.
