This year for our 893 Essential series, we're spotlighting debut albums. You can submit your favorites by Wednesday, April 21 at midnight, then tune in May 6 - 13 as we count down the 893 Essential Debut Albums, according to you and your fellow Current listeners.

While you're entering your favorites on our 893 Essential Debut Albums poll, let's start a big brainstorm here and play some of our favorites this morning.

For today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what essential debut albums do you want to hear?

Respond with your song ideas in the comments below.

And another note (we hardly ever do this), tomorrow's topic is going to be "name drops" -- songs that reference another musician or band. Our dream is to make a Coffee Break "snake" of 6-7 songs Kevin Bacon-style that reference the next, then the next, then the next, etc. If you want to start the brainstorming early in your heart, we'll dive in tomorrow morning. Let's see if we can do it!
