At the request of Prince, Around the World in a Day was released with minimal fanfare in 1985. This one was quite a bit different than the rest of his catalog.

Our purple friend shifted gears for this one. He kind of ditched the funk, and showed a more psychedelic side. He also showed he might well be a fan of the Fab Four, with his most Beatle-esque album of his career.

The lack of fanfare didn't seem to matter. Around the World in a Day was a huge success, thanks to its two Top 10 hits: "Raspberry Beret" and "Pop Life."
