Music for kids and their adults
Acoustic, Americana and Roots
Featuring full in-studio sessions from Dawes and Phosphorescent.
Warmly received by the crowd, Dawes broke to talk to Mark Wheat a couple times during their five-song set, covering topics ranging from frontman Taylor Goldsmith's hesitance to try the Minnesota State Fair's trademark junk food and the mystery of how the band were chosen to open for Bob Dylan this summer.
Phosphorescent is the stage name of singer-songwriter Matthew Houck. An Alabama native who cut his teeth on the famed Athens, Ga. music scene, Houck plays melancholy and beautiful indie-folk in the same vein as Bonnie Prince Billie and others.
